OUR TUTORS ARE HAND SELECTED
We source our tutors from some of the top Russel-group universities in the country, meaning they themselves have benefited from some of the best university teachings on offer.
We pride ourselves on hiring exemplary tutors that match CodeX's high standards and act as role models to their students. They go through training to ensure that they are fully prepared for every lesson, and have a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively teach children both with and without ASC.
Our comprehensive interviews and training teach our passionate tutors how to best engage with students through patience and conciseness.
This ensures the course delivery is as fruitful as it was designed to be resulting in a rewarding process for all.
Our individualistic teaching method means each student is matched with a personal tutor that stays with them throughout the duration of the course.
This enables the tutors to adapt the lessons and their teaching style to cater to the student's specific needs, providing the best possible delivery.
The style and design of the course allows instant and constant feedback to flow from the teacher to you, the student.
Flexible teaching hours let you have lessons at your own pace suiting your timetabling needs.
"THE TUTOR TAUGHT IN A WAY VERY EASY TO FOLLOW"
MEET SOME OF OUR TUTORS
I’m a second-year Computer Science student on the 'Computer Science with a Year in Industry' course.
Working with CodeX has given me the opportunity to teach a range of different school children over the past few weeks and share my coding skills with them. I’ve also actually learnt a lot from the kids while teaching them, and we all really enjoy the lessons, so it’s been a great shared experience.
Chloe Beck is a study abroad student from the USA studying at the University of Nottingham for the year. She is pursuing a degree in Data Science with an emphasis on biological data.
When she isn’t coding, she loves hanging out with her cats and dog and going biking with her dad. She also has a love for music and has been playing the trumpet since she was 10!
Hi, I’m Emma! I’m a fourth-year Natural Sciences student at the University of Nottingham, specialising in Physics. I started learning to code in my first year at uni and now I enjoy using programming to solve scientific problems that can’t be solved analytically. I want to pass on the skills that I have learnt and give other people the opportunity to become enthusiastic about coding! Outside of uni work, I love to play the piano and guitar. My main hobby is rollerblading, and I'm keen to get better at speed skating!

At CodeX, we are committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of safeguarding. Our child protection policy has been informed by guidelines set out by the NSPCC, and includes the following provisions:
Our tutors are all verified university students, and we thoroughly interview every tutor during the hiring process.
All lessons are scheduled by us via Zoom, and no contact is allowed between students and tutors outside of these lessons.
Tutors will not be given any information about their students other than their first name and age.
All lessons are recorded and kept on a private and secure CodeX database, to ensure the safety of both our students and tutors. These recordings can be made available to parents or students upon requests, should you have any safeguarding concerns.
We actively encourage regular feedback about our tutors, and at the end of every course, we ask students to anonymously rate their tutors, so we have accurate feedback on all of our active tutors.
